Carebridge Community Support
January 26 · Please consider helping area seniors stay connectedA simple phone call can turn an otherwise dark day into one of comfort, even joy. COVID 19 has taken the world by storm with our most vulnerable citizens now more alone and isolated than ever before. Have you time on your hands? Consider being a Carebridge Community Support volunteer helping call and connect with local seniors? We need your help. We want to make sure that area shut-in seniors stay happy, content, cared for, and connected with their community.
WANTED! Kind-hearted caring people to volunteer for our Telephone Assurance Program. Potential volunteers can contact Laurie Anderson, Manager, Community Supports and Services. (613) 256-1031, ext 236, landerson@carebridge.ca to start the process. All volunteers must attain police reference checks then attend zoom training calls for the program before starting their calling assignments. Consider taking the time this winter to bring warmth into the heart of an area senior. Help us create nurturing relationships across our community during this difficult time. Are you a senior, home alone, and would benefit from a regular call? We will do our best to connect you with a caring caller. Already a Carebridge volunteer and want to help? Call Laurie and let her know you would like to contribute.
